Tiny Timeline

This is a fairly typical day and may change from time to time to accommodate
spontaneous events, needs and interests of the children.

Sleep / rest routines continue over the day according to individual needs.
Group Exercise

Group exercise / movement activities / gross motor activities. Morning tea.

Morning Play

Activities based on the children’s interest or developmental milestones. Outside play for children to explore. Mat time – Finger plays, songs, puppet stories, books, puzzles. Approx 11.30 lunch.

Art and Craft

Teachers supplement and change activities based on age & abilities. Children are encouraged to join in with different activities during the day. Introduction to art / craft experiences, play dough, messy play, painting.

Free Play

Afternoon tea, older children encouraged to learn self-help skills. Free play, a variety of physical activities for children to further develop co-ordination, strength, social interactions.

Activity Time

Engage children with relevant age appropriate indoor and outdoor activities, and start to farewell until tomorrow.

Morning Mat Time

Children gather together for mat time. Discussions of children’s interests, news, days of the week, weather, planning for the day. Approx 9.30am Morning tea.

Explore and Play

Language, story time. Children are encouraged to play indoors/outdoors, they are encouraged to choose, continue and return to activities of their interest or be part of planned events. Approx 11.30am Lunch time.

Quiet Time

Quiet Activities / Sleep time. Some children will have their routine sleep/rest time, for others a quiet time of activities for small group / individual experiences. Puzzles, books.

Life Skills

Afternoon tea, children will help tidy/wash up and prepare for eating and socialising with peers. Life skills, dramatic play.

Activity Time

Engage children with indoor and outdoor activities, free play and start to farewell until tomorrow.
